CJP to look into govt steps on Corona
ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed took his first suo motu notice on Friday over the "deficient offices" in the nation to battle coronavirus.
The central equity has sent notification to the lawyer general, wellbeing secretary, inside secretary, boss official Islamabad, commonplace boss secretaries and supporters general to react in the issue.
Equity Gulzar Ahmed has requested that the three respondents give subtleties of what gauges the administration has taken so far to contain the spread of the infection and what offices have been given to clinics.
A five-part bigger seat of the summit court headed by Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed and including Justice Umar Ata Bandial, Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel, Justice Sajjad Ali Shah and Justice Qazi Muhammad Amin Ahmed will hear the case on Monday, April 13.
The court on April 07 had put aside the requests passed by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) and Sindhi High Court (SHC) giving bail to the denounced people and held that the high court couldn't practice suo motu locale under Article 199 of the Constitution.
The court had reported its decision in the request of one Raja Nadeem who had documented it in the Supreme Court under Article 185(3) read with 184(3) of the Constitution looking for leave to claim against the judgment of the IHC.
The IHC had allowed bail to 408 detainees detained at Adiala Jail under minor offenses considering coronavirus flare-up. The court while declaring the decision had changed over the appeal into Article 184(3) of the Constitution (suo motu) and had decided that bigger issue of battling the pandemic will stay pending. On Monday, April 13, a five-part seat of the pinnacle court headed by the central equity will continue hearing for the situation.
